stays empty! Here is a recent screenshot of my desktop and Mac setup. I keep my desktop totally empty. Hazel does all the automatic and heavy lifting. I use Quicksilver for all my launching needs so I keep my Dock empty save for Finder (which I haven't figured out how to hide / remove) and my Trash. The only other application I always have open is Notational Velocity since I'm a rabid note taker but it is kept hidden until needed. My menu bar contains the following apps: Quicksilver, Dropbox, Typinator, Stuf, DefaultFolderX (currently testing this app out), and Facebook Notifications.
